This week, we continue to ask What Really Matters with this lesson:
I know just a few 4th & 5th graders who believe it is their duty to be the best at everything. Perhaps this is a good time to let them wrestle with that responsibility. Enjoy!
Stewardship Lessons
Beginning April 21, Alive! will begin a 4-week stewardship curriculum leading up to the capital campaign. The structure of these stewardship lessons is quite different from the structure of Grapple, so I am providing the curriculum early in case you'd like to take a look.
There will be plenty of room for you to supplement these materials during this series! This curriculum may require more planning than Grapple, simply because it is a new and completely different format. Please take the time to read it in advance and then add in any ideas or activities that you think will help this group embrace the idea of above-and-beyond stewardship.
April 21 Activity
Also on April 21, your class will be provided with capital campaign savings banks and decorations. All kids in preschool-5th grade will receive banks which they can take home and keep their capital campaign contributions in. On May 19 (commitment Sunday), kids will bring their banks to the altar along with their parents, who will bring commitment cards.
Please save time on the 21st for your class to decorate their banks!
Music with Ms. Judy
Alive! will have music with Ms. Judy on April 21 as well! Please go to Room 005 at 10:10am for music. Your morning will probably look like:
10-10:10 - Decorate banks
10:10-10:30 - Music
10:30-11 - Stewardship lesson
It'll be a full day!
